Effective community and media communication can rally support, calm a nervous public, provide much-needed information, encourage cooperative behaviors, and help save lives. Your reputation and credibility sometimes depend on your ability to work effectively with the media. By developing and sharpening your communications capabilities, you can minimize negative news coverage and help ensure that your key messages are heard and understood. Effective community communication is essential for building public support for community projects and activities, and for developing a sense of community. This course will provide in-depth information on:

- Framing an accurate message
- Managing public meetings
