Approved Trainer Program

Course Description:

The Kansas RTAP Approved Trainer Workshop is required for Kansas Approved RTAP Trainers and trainers with approved applications who are in the process of becoming trainers.

Attendees will take an in-depth look at current Kansas RTAP driver training courses; 1) Defensive Driving 2) Emergency Procedures 3) Passenger Assistance. By the end of the workshop, participants will learn the skills and knowledge to refresh and update their Kansas RTAP training using new techniques for "owning the stage" and creating content utilizing technology, humor, stories, props, handouts and roll-playing for maximum effectiveness.

Cancelation Policy:

We request that you cancel at least a week before a scheduled class. If someone from your agency can not attend a scheduled class, a replacement from your agency may attend in their place, as long as kutc_training@ku.edu is notified of the change. 

If you have to cancel enrollment in a class, we offer a refund to your account depending on the cancellation date. Please see below for more details.

100% refund if you cancel 7 or more days before a class

50% refund if you cancel 3-6 days before a class

No refund if you cancel 0-2 days before a class
